Problem
Farmers and agronomists need weather and crop-health signals turned into decisions, not just numbers.
Approach
Combined a 7-day forecast with on-demand AI summaries, AI canopy analysis of uploaded aerial or satellite images (coverage, density, and trees that are healthy, need care or need replacing), and a risk engine that ranks alerts for flooding, frost, wind, drought and canopy thinning.
Tech highlights
Next.js 16 acting as a backend-for-frontend so the Weather AI key never leaves the server; a typed API client with timeouts, retry with backoff and rate-limit parsing; a pure, deterministic risk-fusion engine; a Leaflet map picker; tests in Vitest.
Results
Live on Vercel, with a quota gauge showing API usage against the free plan.
